About

What We Do

Haus & Market Foundation is a nonprofit that operates as a creative and cultural third space—bridging art, history, wellness, and community organizing under one roof.

We design programs and partnerships that make space for:
Creative expression and education

Cultural preservation and archival storytelling

Food access and local agriculture

Youth development and intergenerational learning

Community gatherings and public dialogue

Our work centers accessibility, representation, and sustainability—ensuring that community members are not just invited in, but reflected, valued, and supported.

The Community Space

Haus & Market is a flexible, multi-use community space designed to support both everyday gathering and intentional programming. Our space is used for workshops, exhibitions, markets, meetings, meals, and moments of rest.

The space includes:
A gallery and studio area for artists and educators

A kitchen and dining space for community meals and food-based programs

A private garden for reflection, gatherings, and outdoor programming

A fresh market and vintage retail area highlighting local growers and cultural goods

Content creation and meeting space for nonprofits and community partners
Whether you’re attending an event, hosting a program, or collaborating with a partner organization, Haus & Market is designed to feel like a shared home—not a transactional venue.

Programs & Partnerships

Our work is made possible through partnerships with local artists, schools, growers, nonprofits, and cultural organizations. Together, we create programs that reflect the needs and histories of Petersburg’s communities.
